Autumn is here and the clocks have gone back, hope you remembered?
Due to the season there are fewer daylight hours in which to clear away the remains of summer plants.
Rather than being the end of the season, Autumn can be seen as the start of the garden cycle as this is the time to plan for Spring and importantly what to plant. Most shrubs and trees like to be planted in the Autumn that way they can become established in plenty of time for their fruiting and flowering season.
Depending upon the size of one’s garden planning is key. Large gardens require a lot of upkeep but if well maintained they can be glorious; they can also be vastly time consuming and labour intensive.
